387 Swartz, Davenport Huntoon Salem Company Notes and charts on Swartz; Map 1873 of the west% of Brighton Township, not Salem; Narratives and family group sheets pertaining to the subject families and the information pertaining to the "Salem Company" 200 leave for the gold fields on May 5 1850 with the names of the parties joining the group to the gold fields beginning on page 10 and the copies of the letters from S A Davenport from the fields to his wife. Davenport died in the west. -
286 Bushing Brown Clips Obits The booklets in this series represent the news clips from the Arthur Brown family correspondence and papers and are now in the Fed Brown collection (FWB). The booklets are of mostly obituaries but there are some for places as well as marriages and interest stories on those of the local area and the family. The pages are in rough alphabetic order by first letter of the primary surname name or topic. There are articles herein regarding the Chicago Bears and the McCaskeys. Alii of these are under "H with the Halas information. -

182 Baethke Genealogy of Trevor This collection includes genealogy information and images of the Baethke (Pronounced as BET KEY) family who arrived early in the Hamlet of Trevor and started a Hotel (1908 era) on Railroad street, Operated a creamery before it burned down, operated an Opera House (2012 is Towne Square), operated another tavern called the Baethke Tavern (aka 2012 Foxy's) and lived in the hamlet. One of their earliest homes is the second house South of the Old Town Highway Garage and in 2012 is owned by the Barhyte Family. It was on this property that the creamery stood. The Baethke family catered to the rail yards and the auction house workers and visitors. The Baethke Family sold their holdings in the Opera House but eventually had to return to salvage their interest. They were from Illinois and there is still family residing in Illinois. There are no longer any Baethke people in the local area. -

The Livery was to the direct west of the Wilmot Masonic Temple at the intersection of Hwy C (east) and Hwy W at the Northwest corner. The original ledger is at the WKCHS society as a display item. In addition, the Pacey Family has donated a buffalo robe (aka blanket) that was used at the livery. 33-40 Union Cooperative Publishing Company membership booklet with Emalyn Breul in an image called "The KENOSHA LABOR: 41-57 "A Greater Kenosha with Carthage" introduction booklet. 58-77 old headline newspapers from Ethlyn Dean Reynolds of Wilmot and of Bassett, a teacher, who gave the items to WKCHS. The 'above the fold' photocopies of these are 1943, 1944, 1945 regarding World War II. Photographs (JPGS) have been made of many of the full sized pages.
