Bradford fires up!
Roger Jeffery calls out signals.
Homecoming Week, 1975, began Monday, Oct. 8.
In the first fifty years of Bradford, speeches and heavy campaigning for
queen candidates kept students busy. This year, more emphasis was placed
on fun for all. Booster Club designated Monday as Hat and Slave day; Tuesday, Security day; Wednesday, 1950's day; Thursday, Paper Flower day; Friday, School Colors day. Friday evening, the football team took on Case. But
much to the dismay of the fans, the Devils came out on the short end of a 14·
6 score. The highlight of the night was the customary crowning of the king
and queen. Gary Paskiewicz and Gina Aulozzi were chosen as royalty. Brad·
ford's marching band performed at halftime. On Saturday, Student Council
presented the dance "Indian Summer" . Over 100 couples danced to the
music of "Spice".
Victory was just within our reach.

The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island in New York City Harbor. The sculptor,
Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, spend 20 years creating the monument, which as a gift from the
French nation to the US was to commemorate
the centennial of American Independence, and
perpetuate the friendship which began between
the two nations when Lafayette and other
French men cast their lot with the new-world
colonies in the cause of freedom.

Mr. Hoferitza Completes His Fourth Year As Adviser As:
STUDENT COUNCIL HELPS PEOPLE
Under the leadership of Student Council, Bradford
students joined together to help a needy family during the Christmas season.
They also contributed that same effort during the Easter Food Drive. All food
collected during these drives by the homerooms was sent to the Social
Welfare Department.
Other Student Council activities included the sponsoring of homecoming,
the Tri-School exchange and convention, and the selling of doughnuts before
first hour. As in the previous years, the council members' greatest concern
was the building of a new Bradford High School. At the year' s end, Council
gave a scholarship to a most-deserving senior. For the fourth year, Mr.

HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESS STORY
Let's start with a brief description of the Hero of your Success Story.
He or she can be a machine operator, a housewife, a store clerk, a
teacher, a clergyman, a union official, or engaged in any activity you
may select. To write a truly successful story, however, you must endow
the Hero with four essential characteristics .
The Hero of a Success Story has a willingness to learn. For the Hero
there is no final graduation-only a series of Commencements that bring
with them new lessons to be mastered.
The Hero of a Success Story has an unending desire to succeed in
whatever he undertakes. The phrase "just as good" is not in his vocabulary . "Better than" are his favorite words and the yardstick by which
he measures his work .
The Hero of a Success Story welcomes responsibility. For just as
exercise develops muscles, so responsibility develops the man or woman.
The degree of your Hero's success will be governed by the responsibility
he or she is willing to shoulder.
The Hero of a Success Story always gives more than he gets . He is
too busy with important things to measure accurately his own worth .
His greatest satisfaction comes from being of real service to his fellow
men.
It is never too early nor too late to begin your Success Story. Writing
it will not be easy because success is never easily captured. But your
chances of authoring your own Success Story are greater in the United
States than they would be in any other country in the world .

When Only the Best Will Do
When you're developing a young talent, the best is none too good. That's why Leblanc artist-grade
instruments are recommended for students. One of their distinguishing characteristics is LOVE; the
love of the Leblanc family, whose inborn musical genius and sense of the musically-correct has
guided them for generations in their demand for excellence. And it was their love of music that inspired them to establish the first acoustical research laboratory, where scientific principles were
applied to develop the most superb instruments, both
acoustically and mechanically, in the world today. It
will give the young player the confidence he needs to
fulfill his own dream of musical accomplishment.
