continually threatened by the Red Devil , with the final

The final play of the season, " The Crucible",
directed by Mrs. Hazelton and Mr. Shaver,
was a moving tragedy of an historical reconstruction
of the shameful witch hunt in Salem,
Massachusetts in 1692. The Salem witch trials
were instigated by a group of Puritan girls, bored
with life, trying to gain attention or revenge.

Juniors
Highlighting the activities of the Junior class was
the 1969 Junior Prom, " Oriental Enchantment,"
which was presented May 9. The prom and other
class activities were organized under the leadership
of adviser Mr. Bianchetti. To raise money for the
prom, the juniors sold all-occasion cards, had bake
sales and car washes, and collected class dues .

Sophomores
The Sophomore class of 1968-69 contributed greatly
to Bradford in atheletics, band , choir, and student
council. The sophomores, under the leadership of
their adviser, Mr. Helwig, sponsored a dance, had a
bake sale, and collected class dues. The dance,
"Spirit of ' 61", was presented on Friday, March 7,
1969. In all their activities, the sophomores collected
over three hundred dollars which will be used for the
1970 Junior Prom .

HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESS STORY
Let's start with a brief description of the Hero of your Success Story.
He or she can be a machine operator, a housewife, a store clerk, a
teacher, a clergyman, a union official, or engaged in any activity you
may select. To write a truly successful story, however, you must endow
the Hero with four essential characteristics.
The Hero of a Success Story has a willingness to learn. For the Hero
there is no final graduation-only a series of Commencements that bring
with them new lessons to be mastered.
The Hero of a Success Story has an unending desire to succeed in
whatever he undertakes. The phrase "just as good" is not in his vocabulary. "Better than" are his favorite words and the yardstick by which
he measures his work.
The Hero of a Success Story welcomes responsibility. For just as
exercise develops muscles, so responsibility develops the man or woman.
The degree of your Hero's success will be governed by the responsibility
he or she is \villing to shoulder.
The Hero of a Success Story always gives more than he gets. He is
too busy with important things to measure accurately his own worth.
His greatest satisfaction comes from being of real service to his fellow
men.
It is never too early nor too late to begin your Success Story. Writing
it will not be easy because success is never easily captured. But your
chances of authoring your own Success Story are greater in the United
States than they would be in any other country in the world .

208 Conclusion
Spy '69 was the result of the work of many
people. Advertisers are the first to be thanked
for making everything possible. A special thanks
must go to Kenosha News and Capri Studios
for all the pictures they took. Frank Olbrys
should also receive special recognition for
almost a thousand pictures he took. More books
were sold this year and Tom Ziesemer' s morning
announcements were a good reason. Jane Elise
spent many hours on the club section and Joe
Kasten worked on layout after layout. A new
feature in this year's book, the index, was
compiled by Sue Vogler. Above all, there was
Mr. Baumann, who checked every page and
typed and retyped copy.
