kenosha, wisconsin
Hail to the
Kenosha High School,
Alma Mater, dear.
We thy faithful
Sons and daughter ,
Thy fair name revere.
Friend of learning,
Guide to manhood
May thy cause prevail.
Hail to thee
Keno ha High chool,
Alma Mater, hail.
FORE W ORD
Those simple words in the opposite comer
represent three years of laughter and tears,
work and play for this year's graduating seniors, and fewer years of the same for the sophomores and juniors. We hope this SPY for
1964 holds many memories which you will
find enjoyable. Among these memories are
, pages showing our championship basketball
team, pictures of our band at the Green Bay
Packer's football game, our homecoming festivities, and, of course, individual pictures of
all your friends. The PY staff worked hard
all year to put a little of their own thoughts
and feelings on every page and to make this
a book to be treasured for many years. Without your cooperation and help, however, club
pictures and action hots would not have been
possible, and, without the e, there would be
no PY. o we sugge t that, as you page through
this yearbook, you remember that you too had
a hand in its being.

INTRODUCING ...
MR. AUGUSTUS Included among the
many smiling new faces around school this
year was that of Mr. William E. Augustus,
our new principal for the first part of the
school year.
Before becoming a member of the stafT of
Mary D. Bradford, Mr. Augustus was principal of Aurora, Ill.. Junior High School. Besides
being principal , at this school, he taught science and social studies and counseled the
boys.
His advanced schooling included Illinois
State University and the University of Colorado. He is currently \\"orking on his Doctors
Degree at the University of Illinois.
Along with his academic endeavors, Mr.
Augustus is also social-minded, being an outstanding member of the Lions Club.
AND ...
MR. FOWLER- Mr. Fowler's arrival at this
school for the later half of the year, somewhat
coincided with the arrival of the Beatles and
"Ticki-Tacki" houses. The students immediately recognized Mr. Fowler as a clever and
thinking personality, and joyfully accepted
him with smiles as a part of this school.
Mr. Fowler attended the TniYersity of Wisconsin and recei,·ed his Bachelors and Masters
degrees there. Later he attended the University
of Illinois to recei\"e his dearee in administration.
Having taught at many schools around the
country, concentrating mainly in \Visconsin,
Mr. Fowler came to us from Hin dale, Illinois, where he was the assi tant principal. The
Fowler family choose our community as their
new home because they considered it an active
community with a moving school system of
which it would be intere ting to be part.

BOOSTER CLUB
Pep, spirit, and loyalty- these describe the Booster
Club. The main purpose of this club is to promote
school spirit, and this makes it one of the most enthusiastic and worthwhile clubs. Boosters make
posters adYertising school activities, form booster
sections at sports events, support the cheerleaders
of Bradford High , and really get out and yell at
all the games. Booster Club members also sell
booster buttons and put on lively skits at basketball games during the half-times.

CINEMA TICS
Cinematics is one of the smallest clubs in the
school, but its work should not be taken lightly.
These few boy , under the direction of Mr.
Schumacher and Mr. Hubbard, are responsible
for seeing that all visual aids are delivered in
working order to the various rooms where they
are to be used each day. Many hours of wheeling carts through the halls and running projectors in the basem nt of the museum are
spent weekly by the members of Cinematics in
order that the student body of Bradford High
might enjoy all the beautiful films made available to them through the Vi ual Aids Department, of which this club is a vital part.

Very successful these two words
characterize Bradford's debate squad
this year. Under the watchful eyes of
Mr. Davies and Miss Baltes, this group
took part in many out-of-town debates, sacrificing a great many of their
Saturdays. Many long hours were
spent practicing m the Bradford
auditorium, so that the teams could
make the good showing that they did .

This year Bradford's forensic team
was certainly a group to be proud of.
They proved that Kenosha produces
scholastically-inclined young people
as well as athletically-inclined. Participating in the National Forensic
League's state tournament in Oshkosh, the team as a whole took the
N.F.L. traveling trophy for all-around
forensic competition in recent years.
Aside from this team trophy, two individual members also took firstsBarbara Hindley, humorous interpretation, and Tom Shields, oratorical interpretation. Many other honors were
heaped upon other members of the
team individually and upon the team
as a whole, thanks to the marvelous
coaching of Mr. John Davies.

KENEWS
A part of that hard-working ( ?) Kenews staff
Getting out a newspaper is no easy job, no matter how small the paper, and
the Kenews staff did a job well worth commendation. Deadlines were often
late, both for picture and for copy, but, ne\·e rtheless, that infom1ati\·c
newspaper always seemed to come out on time with all its pages crammed
full of amusing sidelights, interesting descriptions of activitie, and thou ghtprovoking editorials. Kenews staff members worked very hard all year and
certainly they are one of the groups in Bradford most worthy of the admiration of all the students.

KEY CLUB
A pensive group.
Key Club members this year with the help of their
ad,·isor Mr. Hucttcn helped another person go to
college by the scholarship they gaYc. If you can't
tell a Key Club member by his black sweater, tic,
and pin, then you're sure to know him by the bag of
peanuts that he i holding in his hand. Selling
peanuts is one of th e ways in which K ey Club raises
the money for the aforementioned scholarship.

the good will spread about the chool by all Key
Club members with their friendly smiles and helpful ways.

K-CLUB
Ai iong the boys at MBHS, K-Club is active and admired. By earning
a letter through sports, a boy becomes an automatic member of this
club. K-Club members sell pennant and candy at football and basketball games; they also plan several projects with Booster Club, for
instance, working on a Homecoming float. In general K-Club members promote good school spirit by supporting all school sports activities.

\' I C T 0 R Y-That is the familiar cheer at
any Football, Basketball, or Wrestling events. The
six varsity cheerleaders uphold the tradition of stirring the souls of the fans at all home and away
games. From the moment these peppy cheerleaders
are first seen on the floor. until they leave, the spirit
of the crowd and of the team is bol tercel.
The varsity cheerleaders, led by captain Linda Bergren, seem to know when the crowd wants to cheer
and what their favorite cheers are. Their enthusi-
asm has ne,·er dwindled; e\·en at the worst moments
they are ready to cheer the boys on to fight harder.
These hardworking but ,·i\'acious girls also sponsored a clan e called the Victory Dance. It celebrated the Basketball team's capture of the Big

wins. The girls donated the finds to the United

SEMINAR
By starting the year ofT with an all-out candy
sale, Seminar earned enough money for a senior cholarship and for science faic prizes. SC'rninar is a club for students taking chemistry:
meetings arc held twice a month. Seminar won
first place in the Homecoming Walking Parade,
had an annual Christmas party, and held a funfilled toboggan party in January. A program exchange was hdd with a group of students from
Milwaukee; at this meeting, the auests discussed
their winning science fair projects and enjoyed

In Bradford High there are a great number of students who are willing to accept responsibility and aid their fellow students by doing so. Among this group
are the SPY Salesmen, who made it possible for you to rccciYc this book. Each
salesman was issued a book. and he was held completely responsible for either
the money or the receipts in the book itself. The SPY Salesmen this year arc to

One of the main aims of this year's Student Council was to enable students to
have a larger say about school affairs and
school rules. Of course, no major changes
were made in the school because of the
work of this group, but all the members
used much ingenuity in trying to present
to the faculty and student body an efficient student government, such as is often
seen on a college campus.
Activities of the student council varied
from decorating a Christmas tree for the
annex to erecting a "suggestion box" on
the first floor of the main building. By using this box to \"Oice their opinions, students who are not members of student
council were able to criticize or make suggestions anonymously to the faculty and
student leaders of the school.

as in it. Every Wednesday they proudly walked the halls
in new uniforms of navy blue skirts and blazers.
Because the large bi-annual water show was held last year,
the girls this year worked primarily towards Parents' Night,
a water show and demonstration presented for parents
and friends of the members. Despite the absence of elaborate costumes and expensive scenery, the audience enjoyed the many and well-executed numbers.

CONCERT BAND STOR Y
Music is said to be a universal language. Our concert band has pre ented that language to us this year in grand tyle. We have seen or heard the band in parades, at
their concerts, at graduation, on the football field, at our home basketball games,
and even on television.
The concert band is actually three in one: a concert band, a marching band, and
a swing band. Each band excels in its own field. The awards won by these musical
groups during the past year are as follows:
1st Place-Youth Band Competition
Kenosha Music Round-Up
ational Youth Band Champions
South Milwaukee Festival of Music
(Concert Band Competition )
Best of Show Award and Superior Rating
(Stage Band Competition)
Milwaukee Boys' Club Stage Band Contest

(Concert Band Competition )
Superior Rating-Concert Band
Competition
Wisconsin School of Music Contest
Bet Appearing Band on Parade
Cedarburg Festival of Music
1st Place-Parade Competition
East Troy, \'\' isc. Loyalty Day Parade
During the football season the band was active at our home games. At each halftime a new and exciting drill was performed for our enjoyment. The band was the
featured band for the half-time entertainment for the Chicago Bear-Green Bay
Packer Professional football game. They appeared on a sixteen state television hookup.
The impression that our band has left on us will long be remembered. Cono-ratulations to a fine school group- the Bradford Band.

"O HOW SHALL I RECEIVE THEE?))
With uplifted hearts and voices, the Bradford choirs sang both cheery and inspiring
Christmas carols on December 14 and 15.
The Annual Christmas Festival of Choral
Music was directed by Cornell Runestad
and James 0. Froseth. This year the program was centered around a general
theme- the hymn, "O How Shall I Receive Thee?" Just like a novel builds up to
a climax, the program was climaxed by
the awesome living Christmas Tree and
by the massed choirs' singing "Oh How
Shall I receive Thee?" Needless to say, the
program was excellent and certainly
stirred the holiday spirit in each spectator
and participant. The six choral groups
performing in the program were A Cappella Choir, the Brass Choir, Senior Girls'
Chorus, Sophomore Mixed Choir, Sophomore Girls' Chorus, and Senior Mixed
Chorus. To be able to provide such a
successful show, the groups began practicing
last fall; and only after a great deal of
hard work and self-sacrifice (not to mention the hot lights and crowdedness on
stage ) did they achieve their perfection in
singing. Congratulations for the terrific
concert!

This year's orchestra was a very active group, attending the V.F.W. State Con\'ention, performing
on channel 10 Milwaukee television attending the
Mid-Winter Clinic at the University of Wisconsin,
and presenting the annual winter and spring concerts here in Kenosha. These concerts were highlighted during the season by the artist in residence
of Kenosha, Mr. Fethi Kopuz. Besides taking part
in all the aforementioned activities, the MDBHS orchestra also somehow found the time to attend the
Kenosha County Fair and to travel to the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee where they were the
only high school orchestra present. They were truly
a busy group and were recognized as such by a dinner given in their honor and sponsored by a prominent Kenosha Service Club.

Last summer, Mary Gay Turbey, one of our
seniors, represented Mary D. Bradford at Badger Girls State at the University of Wisconsin
in Madison during the week of June 15-22. She
was selected for this honor by members of the
American Legion Auxiliary and school officials.
Badger Girls State, which is sponsored by the
American Legion Auxiliary, is a "mythical"
state in which each girl or "citizen" is given an
opportunity to participate in our form of government. From across the state, 448 girls gathered to study the machinery of our government
and its operation. The girls themselves actually
organized a government, elected officers, and
fmmed parties and committee . The highlights
of the week were a Variety Show, the Inauguration at which Governor Reynolds spoke, and
the legislative session in the capitol chambers.
Mary Gay commented that Badger Girls State
offered her a wonderful opportunity to "learn
by doing" and that she found out how important government and good citizenship really are.
Mary Gay Turbey: Our representative to the 1963 Badger Girls State.
"BECKr" AND "BUCKr" BADGERS
During last June, Bill Smoler and Bob Lutter
attended Badger Boys State as representatives
of Mary D. Bradford. Badger Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion, was held at
Ripon State College and drew about 400 boys
from across Wisconsin. While studying the
government of our state, counties, and citie ,
the boys learned how a democratic system works
in practice and the significance of those twin
tools of democratic procedure- discussion and
participation.
In the mythical state of Badger, elections
were held, and each boy as igned to a political
party, either the Federalist or Iationalist Party.
Bob was elected the Supreme court Ju tice, and
Bill was selected the Campaign Chairman of
the Federalist Party. In a special law course, the
boys learned about the different types of law
and became "graduates of law." Among the
speakers talking about our government were
Governor Reynolds and Chief Justice Horace
Wilkie. A \'ariety of activities were available to
the boys; they participated in track meets,
baseball, basketball, and football. Bill agreed
with Mary Gay on the interesting and educational qualities of this experience. He said, "It
was a wonderful experience." Bob felt that it
was worthwhile and a great privilege.
Bill Smoler and Bob Lutter:
Our Badger Boys State Representatives.
OUR BAND INVADES
GREEN BAY
Left-Left-Left
One of the most important and exciting football
games of the year was the Chicago Bears-Green
Bay Packer's game. Although the Packers lost it
was a memorable experience for all attending, especially the members of the M.B.H.S. band.
The day was filled with anticipation, excitement,
and general enthusiasm. It began at 6 a.m. and
the long tenuous bus trip followed. The band arrived in Green Bay at about noon. The anticipation mounted until after the very well-performed
half time • when everyone was now able to en joy
the end of the game. A perfect day was drawing
to a close when a dinner banquet was given for
the band by the Packers.

SCOTTISH GLOBE TROTTER
This year's foreign exchange studcn t was the very
10\·cly Mis Rosemary Carter from Scotland. She
spent her school year in America with the Stuyvesants, a typical Kenosha family. Rosemary attended basketball games, football games, and other
school activities with her American friends and
commented that she enjoyed them all. At the end
of the year, Rosemary was trying to think of a way
to thank all the students of Bradford High for
their kindness toward her during her stay in Kenosha, when she hit upon the loudspeaker, that
familiar piece of equipment in ewry room of the
school. By giving a short speech over the loud
speaker during announcements time, Rosemary impressed all the students even more, and they a ll
realized just how lucky they were to ha\·e gotten
to know that wonderful Scottish girl.

I can't help it if I flunked!
"College ight" is a program designed to advise students in general college planning and provide information on specific colleges. This year it was held on Thurs.,
Oct. 24, and began with a general session presided over
by Miss Virginia Tenuta, head guidance counselor at
MBHS.
Mr. Augustus, Principal, and Mr. Otto Huettener, Coordinating Principal, gave a brief over-all view of college planning. Following this, students were given the
opportunity to speak with representatives from the
two colleges of their choice.

and clean-up was done by Hi-Y. Since dancing, music, games, practical jokes, and a carnival atmosphere were available to the students, it
was no wonder that all had a terrific evening.

BRADFORD FISH
This year's record of two wins and
eight losses doesn' t do credit to our
swimming team. It doesn' t show that
this group kept up their spirit and determination even when the going got
rough . Nor does. it tell of the tremendous improvement our boys made. Basing the rank on spirit, hard work,
and improvements, the 1963-64 swimming team was A-1. Thanks should go
to coaches Tsuchiya and Buechel.

As a team, Kenosha scored 68 points, tying Fort Atkinson for first place. Individually our wrestlers did equally well. Earl Scharnick took first place at 112 pounds.
At 145 Gary Morrill also took a first. First place at 154
went to Bob Zapf, and Jim Linderman, Dick Hyser,
and Ernie Virgili all took seconds in their respective
weight classes. Russ Bullamore also did quite well, taking a fourth place in his class.

Karen Zebrowski, her escort Jeff Reilly , and Mary

three classes were represented by the winners.
As something new this year we had a Hootenanny.
The New Liberty Singers, two Barber Shop Quartets
and a duet from the U. W .K. provided the folk songs.
Emcee Randy J ensen kept us dancing to many of the
popular songs of the day. Among the most popu lar
recording groups was the Beatles.
Chairman Steve Philo and co-chairman Jane Peterson did a great job on this dance.

CHAMPS
As you can sec by the extreme ly one-sided results on the facing
page, our basketball team really showed the oppo ition who was
the champ this year. Each game was a thrill -packed spectacle of
skill and sportsmanship. Records were shattered right and left by
the seemingly unconquerable Red DeYil , number one in the state's
Big Ten teams and undi puted leader of the Big Eight Conference
throughout the season. The mighty De\·ils, however, did have one
night of bad luck this season during the tournament play in South
Milwaukee. Meeting the Park Panthers and hoping for •a third win
over them, Kenosha's team met with a heart-breaking defeat in a
three minute overtime. Te\·erthcless, Kenosha fans left the 10111
that night with the assurance that their team was STILL best in the
state.

Hey! How about a ride?
A common sight at any dance.
Must I?
This year students at Mary D. had quite a few
good reasons to hold a victory dance; our basketball team; the wrestling team; our tennis team.
Our sophomores were finally getting the "feel'' of
high school life, while our junior were rejoicing
because they were no longer the "babies of the
school." About this time the seniors were looking
forward to graduation. Enough reasons for a victory dance? We thought so.

THE REL UCTANT DEB UTANTE
On April 16-17, the Senior class play, entitled T/1<
Reluctant Di butantc by William Douglas Home. was
presented in the Mary D. Bradford Auditorium. The
scene of the two-act play was laid in Jimmy Broadbenfs apartment off Washington Square in New York
City. It was a comedy about a young girl who was being forced by her social-minded parents to ha\'e a
coming-out ball with hundreds of guests.

This year Bradford High was privileged to have as students the two
daughters of Kenosha's distinguished musician in residence, Mr.
Fethi Kopuz. Having discovered that it would be necessary to remain in the United States for one more year, Mr. Kopuz sent word
to Turkey that his daughters should join him here in Kenosha and
attend Bradford High School for this school year. The girls, Guzin
and Gaye, were overjoyed at the prospect of going to school in
America and immediately began to make arrangements for the
trip.
During the school year both girls made many new friends and were
well-recieved by the entire student body. New experiences faced
the girls once they were settled in their temporary home-eating
hamburgers, preparing hot dogs, and participating in such everyday American sports as volleyball, basketball, baseball, and golf.
Guzin and Gaye were both just a little reluctant to leave when the
time came. Their comment was, "We are anxious to get back to
our old friends, but we are unhappy to leave our new friends."
These two girls certainly are going to be mis ed at Bradford next
year by all who knew them and appreciated their smiling and
friendly ways.

Scattered showers failed to dampen the spmts of
the more than 360 couples attending the 1964

pastel garden for a magical "Moment in May.
Prom-goers danced to the music of The Tophatters from 8 until 12 with the crowning of King
Tim Rose and his queen Linda Neitzel highlighting the evening. Following a premier showing of
"The Brass Bottle" at the Orpheum Theater, the
weary couples returned to find a night club atmosphere surrounding the Eagles Club. The Kenosha Kiwanis Club, who sponsored the Afterglow,
again provided a delicious meal and excellent entertainment. Following this, there was more dancing and breakfast for those who desired it. With
the rising of the sun, another successful prom had
come to an end.

"Spring Fling." The high school auditorium was
decorated with pastel carnations and, as the curtain
opened to mu ic provided by Mr. Gladding at the
organ, Sue Strangberg and Cindy Rahanian described the spring- fashions of 1964. The beautiful
flowers and the delicate arch on stage were outdone
only by the lovely fashion models, mostly members
of Hi-Style Club itself. This colorful event will be
remembered by all as one of the best performances

Lakefront Stadium was the scene of the Big Eight track
meet this year, and Bradford High came out of the competition in second place due to outstanding performances by
the many fine athletes of this team. Runners such as Fred
DeLacy, the Lindgren brothers, Wayne Anderson, and Larry
Weiss contributed much to the success of the team, but without the stable performances turned in by the rest of members
the high rank in Big Eight competition would have been impossible. Congratulations to a spirited group of athletes of
whom Kenosha can be very proud.

Bradford High's baseball team didn't wm the championship
this year, but they did get first runner up. They ended the

RACKETEERS
Big Eight Champions
The tennis team this year certainly was a group of
which the school could rightly be proud. The Big
Eight Conference title fell to Bradford due to the
efforts of such outstanding players as Gordon Krebs,
Steve Philo, Al Becker, Tom Hansen, and others. Besides taking their own conference title, these racketeers
placed fourth in the state, another praiseworthy feat.
Congratulations to these fine players and their coach,
Mr. Schmale.

SENIOR
BANQUET
The Senior Banquet, held at Holy
Rosary Hall, was a tremendous success
again this year, due to the untiring
efforts of Mr. Moebius and his staff of
students and teachers. After a delicious
meal of turkey, dressing, and all the
trimmings, the seniors were ready to
sit back in their scats and watch the
entertainment and presentations of
scholarships. The entertainment included such acts as; a barbershop
quartet, a beautiful folk singer, and a
Jazz combo, each exceptional in its own field.
Later scholarships were presented to deserving
graduates by Miss Tenuta and Mr. Davey. Everything had then been completed, and the seniors
were dismissed with the knowledge that this had
truly been a night to remember.

THE
FINAL
HOUR
The final hour of our high school
lives was a time of joy, and yet it was
also a time of sorrow. Tears of joy
and sadness were abundant as were
the proud smiles of both the parents
and the graduates.
Jane Peterson and Steve Philo gave
us thoughts to keep in our hearts and
to guide us along the right path. In
this same vein is the Kenosha FourWay Test, which we shall all remem ber.
In that final hour we said good-bye
to our friends, teachers, alma mater,
and the life we had lived for three
years. We left to face the adult world
armed with knowledge, memories, and
hope.

students who attended obtained much satisfaction and enjoyment from this dance.
Also the class officers participated in helping other school organizations in the promotion and ·sale of tickets to activities
which they sponsored.
Before telling of the activities of the
Sophomore Class and its officers during
the school year, I would like to thank our
counselor, Mr. Parnell, and all of the
other counselors. I would especially like
to thank Mr. Palmen for his help. These
counselors and advisors were of invaluable assistance to the Sophomore Class
Officers throughout the year and their
work was deeply appreciated.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank the other class officers for their
hard work during the year. Vice President
Cindy Robinson, Treasurer Pat Greene,
and Secretary Sandy Goodwin worked
hard all year and certainly fulfilled the
duties which went with the faith which
was placed in them by the students m
their election.
Our work throughout the year was hampered by the split shifts, but I think our
accomplishments follow in the fine tradition of class officers. We attended various
school activities and encouraged others to
attend as well. I think the school spirit of
this year's Sophomore Class was one of
the best in the history of Bradford High
School. Although we did not sponsor as
many events as I would have liked, our
year-end dance was a huge success, financially as well as in the enjoyment field. The
Finally I would like to thank the members of the Sophomore Class for their support of all school events and for the fine
school spirit which they showed all year.
Respectfully submitted,

35th President of the United States
" Ye, the heart of the world weighs heavy with
the helplessness of tears,
For the man cut down in a Texas town in the

And we who stay must not ever lose the

For wherever men look to freedom, then his
soul goes riding on.
Lord, his soul goes riding on."

JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS
Conney Campbell, Secretary; Danny
President.
ye, Vice President; Pat Tanni. Treasurer ; Tim Rose,
As another year of high school passes, one
begins to realize the worthiness and potential of our junior class. Though only
the junior "men" of our school, our juniors have excelled in scholarship. Many
of our boys comprised the strength of our
athletic teams and debate squads. Other
members of the junior class went on to
win honors in the science fair and spelling
bee.
Since this is the last year the junior class
of Kenosha will consist of one body together in one school, we have given ourselves a worthy, noteful. and momentous
send-off.
One of our social highlights of this year
was the junior prom, the largest in Brad-
Tim Rose, Junior Class President
The event was especially decorative and
fun-filled. This exciting evening could
not have been possible, however, without
the generous help of our class advisors.

SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS
Carol Hubbard, Secretary; Pat Perri, Treasurer; Bob Pelligrino, Vice President ; Jack R ose,
President.
This year's senior class has been handicapped to
some extent by the split shift and its separating
effect upon the student body. However, we have
tried to overcome this hindrance and proceed accordingly.
musical program, and this year's seniors were an
i,rnportant part of this annual high point. Seniors
were also prominent in the fields of debate and
forensics as they helped to make their respective
teams a success. This year's championship basketball team was paced by a fine group of senior athletes which resulted in state-wide recognition for
our school and community.
While there are some students who try to isolate
themselves from act1v1t1es and responsibilities,
the class of '64 has had a sufficient number of students who have thought enough of their school to

HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESS STORY
Let's start with a brief description of the Hero of your Success Story.
He or she can be a machine operator, a housewife, a store clerk , a
teacher, a clergyman, a union official , or engaged in any activity you may
select . To write a truly success story, however, you must endow the Hero
with four essential characteristics .
The Hero of a Success Story has a willingness to learn . For the Hero
there is no final graduation-only a series of Commencements that bring
with them new lessons to be mastered.
The Hero of a Success Story has an unending desire to succeed in whatever he undertakes . The phrase " just as good " i s not in his vocabulary.
" Better than " are favorite words and the yardstick by which he measures
his work .
The Hero of a Success Story welcomes responsibility. For just as exercise
develops muscles, so responsibility develops the man or woman. The degree
of your Hero's success will be governed by the responsibility he or she is
willing to shoulder.
The Hero of a Success Story always gives more than he gets . He is too
busy
with important things to measure
accurately his own worth. His
greatest satisfaction comes from being of real service to his fellow men .
It is never too early nor to late to begin your Success Story. Writing it
will not be easy because success is never captured . But your chances of
authoring your own Success Story are greater in the United States than they
would be in any other country in the world .
