Let us know what you think!
St. Raphael the Archangel, as you protected young
Tobiah on his journey to a distantland, protect all those
who travel today, especially (insert your intention here).
Safeguard all fathers and mothers whose work requires
them to travel; protect all children who travel to and from
school, to be with a parent or visit a relative. Watch over
those who journey to preach the Gospel. Guide those
responsible for operating transport vehicles and inspire
the owners of transportation systems to provide dependable and affordable means. Encourage those who maintain these systems to be trustworthy in providing safe
and reliable means so that all who travel will reach their
destinations in comfort and safety. Amen.

The Journey Nears Its End
On any long journey it
is only natural to tire as we
progress; we often need, as
we near our destination, a bit
of a "boost" to help us make
it through the last leg of the
trip. The triumphant beginning of Passion Sunday
serves that purpose. It energizes our Lenten pilgrimage
so we have the stamina to
walk the last few-and by
far most difficult- days
with Jesus in Jerusalem. As
our blessed palms stir the air
around us in triumph, we
should ask ourselves how
committed we truly are to
taking these last steps with
him. Perhaps we might
choose a "traveling companion" with whom we can
identify. Would it be Judas
foot ofthe cross.
The story of the Passion
contains many characters
with whom we can identify;
likewise it features a whole
range of emotions, from the
glory of Palm Sunday's beginnings to the insistent
command of Christ that we
imitate him by washing feet
as our remembrance of him.
He also commanded that we
TRVLY, THIS WAS THE SON OF GOD!
eat of the bread that is his
body and drink of the cup
that he will drink these days,
filled with the blood of the
cross; perhaps the brave,
or disloyal Peter? Perhaps
faithful women who went to new covenant. Ultimately,
one of those who waved
we - who are the Body of

linen and myrrh to honor his Christ through our baptism
tic sincerity, but who later

mocked Jesus when his for- dead body. Or we might
identify with the pagan Ro- Christ at the end of this

Maybe we would choose

Long ago, the lakes region drew
people to this area to farm, to hunt and
fish, to establish businesses and to raise
farnilies. Many of the names of the
founding immigrants are still quite
familiar.
Today, the community is a blend of
people who are here for many reasons all with fondness for what ANTIOCH is all
about.
we hope that you will enjoy this
souvenir calendar and that you will join
the community in all of the exciting
Centennial events.
