RE: Planned actions at 5700 49th Street parcel, Kenosha WI (Kip Ndsoa/ABC Services)
Dear Mr. Thomas:
Environmental Innovations., me. (El), has arranged with Mr, Kip Nelson, owner of the above referenced
property, to begin addressing the remaining liquid waste materials contained within aboveground storage
tanks at the site. A total often (10) tanks are located there, of which six (6) were emptied between October,
2002 and January, 2003.
A limited amount of funds have been budgeted by Mr N-lson to pay for ongoing waste removal efforts at
the 5700 property. As such, El anticipates that appro:dn itdy 4000-7000 jpllons of r jn-hazardous
petroleum-based waste will be disposed of at the property within the next thirty days, likely earlier than
that, These liquids will be pumped primarily from two (2) of the tanks, including one that you have
previously identified as being near overflowing and that has since been covered/secured. Laboratory
analysis has confirmed the non-hazardous status of the waste,
With the removal of 4000-7000 gallons of petroleum waste from the site, El believes that a maximum
5000-8000 gallons of liquid will be left there for future disposal. This remaining waste will be addressed
when additional funds are made available by Mr. Nelson
Note that El is assisting Mr. Nelson in procuring licensed waste transportation and disposal services only.
No other consulting or environmental services are being provided to him as part of this waste removal
project at the 5700 site. The emptied tanks are not being deaned, dismantled, or removed, etc.
If you have questions about this information, please contact me at 262-886-4800, Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter,
Sincerely,
Paul D.Herbert
President
