    This book has been totally handwritten and likely in a fountain pen. local names are throughout including payments to business and teacher and individual for services. Reference on page 94 of moving the school house at a cost of $12.00 in 1893. Reference on page 96 for building another schoolhouse to H F Orvis in a partial payment $400.00. On page 127, 1907 there is an entry that $150 was borrowed from Julia A Smith. Also noted are some names of individuals in elected positions and references to businesses they owned and services they rendered. Note to researchers: If your family member was in this area between the above noted years, it will be worth your while to review page by page looking for reference to your person.     This is a package of consolidation material that was published to help the changes in the area from District schools to Consolidated schools. Primarily, the Wheatland School district, is featured but other school material is included. There are some general documents as well. Consolidation meant larger schools, a singular school board where there might be 5 vs perhaps 21 over the smaller one room schools and several teachers in one building as opposed to one teacher/one building.
