777 Bushing, Helen Brown School NotesThis book was written by Helen Brown Bushing on loose leaf pages and then bound with temporary binders. Most of the work was done in pencil. This book was from the FWB Fred Brown collection and has been donated to the WKCHS.

184 Saucerman ScrapbooksGreg Saucerman, one time President of the Western Kenosha County Historical Society, collected many items over the years and placed these materials in two scrapbooks. These have been copied and compiled in this booklet. They include, Photos, obits, newsclips, personal notes, memos, copies of pages from books and any material that would at some time be beneficial to historians. To help researchers, some keywords have been listed (and perhaps page numbers) to make the document more beneficial. There is no guarantee that the document is completely indexed so the researcher must give some time to skimming the material in their efforts to research.

127 Novacek Family PapersMaterial from the Novacek Family who came from Chicagoland (Cicero, Berwyn, Western Springs) to Camp Lake in the mid-1930's and operated first a lunch room, then a resort in the current apartment building and then another resort called Lakeside. The Novacek girls were both early telephone operators in Wilmot. Included are Ralston Family papers. From the Novacek Family Collection.

394 Brown, Helen Lucille Mentioned in Scrapbooks0-27 First Scrapbook was tied in satin purple ribbon handwritten on lined paper the HISTORY OF HELEN LUCILLE BROWN but likely not by Helen. Names some friends, refers to family and has pictures that were clipped form magazines and pasted to pages with life comments and thoughts. It was written in a fountain ink. Names were legitimate but the photos were not. 0-21 Second Scrapbook A BRIEF LIFE and HISTORY OF HELEN BROWN BUSHING by Dorothea Kruse on a nice plain paper and tied with a green satin ribbon with pasted images, again from magazines with thoughts of life and love. There is no telling why these were created or kept or if these were gifts done by others tho I suspect they were received as birthday gifts from good friends who made them as a small group for Helen.

429 Frederick GenealogyThe materials are from DJF collection. Dave Jon Frederick. The materials compliment the other artifacts that the Frederick family has given to the Western Kenosha County Historical Society (WKCHS) There are other images in the digital collection. Artifacts are at the WKCHS and include photograph albums of the family and artwork by Alvin Frederick. The Frederick family farm was in Somers/Paris at the west side of 1-94. Alvin worked at Mill Print out of Milwaukee where he commuted via the Northshore Line and was also at Serigraph Sales in West Bend. He attended the Art Institute via Northern Illinois before the war and had a Mr Sterba, Mrs Kibler and Mr Mosby as instructors. He created a LIFE IN THE ARMY art booklet while he was in Iceland and there are Iceland views in art form in the collective. The Bristol Band is represented in image and in uniform although the trumpet was given to the Kenosha Youth Foundation by Dave's brother, Karl Frederick. Other names are: Lucille, Rose, Alvin, Carol, Elaine, Harold, Eugene and Matthew.

392 Hartnell Cull Kerley Curley Bushing Stockwell Knuter Salem AcademyCopied pages that pertain to the Salem Academy that existed at Liberty Corners and which was part of the Liberty Congregationalist Church at the northeast corner of S 83 and CTY HWY C . It was a school and anyone could be part of it. Later public schools - Trevor, Brainard drew from their student base and eventually Liberty School took over the property. 378 Capper's Farmer Magazine 1955A March 1955 magazine that gives an overview of farm life at the time the Bushing Family was operating their dairy farm in town of Salem, Kenosha. It has ads, images of products and short educational stories. This was delivered to a Mrs. Arthur Foulke of Bristol Wisconsin.
